Olivia Munn is now one of Marvel's newest mutant, Psylocke, as revealed by film director Bryan Singer on his twitter account.
"Geek goddess" Olivia Munn is a not a stranger when it comes to comic book and cosplaying, also a familiar face when it comes to entertainment.
The new "X-men" member Olivia Munn is a former "X-Play" member in G4, also co-hosted "Attack of the show!" from 2006 to 2010. In recent years her acting career has grown from being a host to having roles like in "Magic Mike", "Deliver us from Evil" and "The News Room" not to mention a brief role in "Iron Man 2".
Psylocke was created by Chris Claremnont and Herb Trimp first appeared in 1976 for "Captain Britain #8", a decade later she was introduced in 1986's "New Mutants Annual #2". Betsy Braddock aka Psylocke is a model with powerful psychic powers and advanced martial arts training. She is one of the most popular character in the early '90's.
But this is not the first time Psylocke was on big screen. In 2006 "X-men: The last stand" had a Psylocke, played by Meiling Melancon. Now fans have high hopes for Olivia Munn for saving the character which had negative feed back in the previous film, not to mention that she was proclaimed "Geek Goddess", she will be one of the eye candy in the forthcoming film.
Apocalypse takes place a decade after Days of Future Past and is a seamless next step in the story. Then altering of time has unleashed a new and uniquely powerful enemy. An ancient enemy is featured and it has been said that it will be the most cataclysmic fight of the franchise.
