Thee richest man in the world Bill Gates visits the Philippines, reporters have obtain photos of a helicopter owned by the Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation at the International Rice Research Institute in Los Baños, Laguna. It has been recognized that the foundation is the largest donor of the institute, giving an estimate of $18 million a year.
The IRRI describes itself as "the world's premier research organization dedicated to reducing poverty and hunger through rice science," and is present with 17 countries.
According to Bureau of Immigration records, a certain William Henry Gates arrived at NAIA on April 4 aboard a private US Jet. Although they could not confirm Bill Gates' presence but confirms his arrival at Puerto Princesa, Palawan on April 5. Gates' Group asked for confidentiality for security purposes.
